The latest installment of the Pirate films does not disappoint. Taking a different approach in this film most of it is land based. The film begins with mischievous  Jack Sparrow breaking out his partner Gibbs from jail. Caught in the process he is commissioned to find the Fountain of Youth for King George. Starting his adventure he finds himself marooned on Blackbeard’s ship Queen Anne’s Revenge being used as a guide to the Fountain of Youth. In a race against the English and Spanish the adventure is filled with dangers ranging from zombies to mermaids. Jack Sparrow’s usual half planned half improvisation journey challenges him whether to decide between the women he used to love, Angelica (Penelope Cruz) and the Fountain of Youth.  In the end of the film Jack must to decide whether to save Angelica or to take the Fountain of Youth for himself. Yet another great installment in the Pirate movies with a teaser after the credits hinting to another coming soon.

This film took a different approach from the other films. Having rid of Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swan (Keira Knightley) the story revolves around Jack Sparrow. A more complex story not just based on swashbuckling pirates and undead pirates the film introduces zombies who are the crew of Blackbeard and mermaids which are apart of the key to the Fountain of Youth. The mermaids beautiful but deadly provide the movie with the most spectacular sequence of the film. The star studded cast providing great acting but also introducing new actors like Astrid Berges-Frisbey as an innocent mermaid and Sam Claflin as the moral priest. The two provide a side love story that will sure to be in the next film. Great action and an epic story combine together to make yet another amazing installment to the Pirate film franchise. Can’t wait for the next one.
